CEMS GLOBAL inaugurates the 26th Build Bangladesh International Expo 2019 - The perfect Exhibition for Infrastructure Developers to network with companies from more than 14 countries from the construction, power, solar, water, safety & security, lighting and real estate industry
CEMS Global is hosting the 26th Build Bangladesh International Expo 2019, previously known as Con-Expo, the 3 day comprehensive exhibition for infrastructure developers, where they will be able to find all major equipment and services pertaining to infrastructure development. This exhibition will have under its umbrella - ‘22nd Power Bangladesh Expo 2019’, ‘17th Solar Bangladesh Expo 2019’, ‘ 2nd Dhaka International Lighting Expo 2019’, ‘ 3rd Water Bangladesh International Expo 2019’, ‘20th Real Estate Expo- Bangladesh 2019’ & ‘4th International Safety & Security Expo Bangladesh 2019’. This exhibition will be held from the 17th to 19th October 2019 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Kuril, Dhaka.
In this regard, an inauguration ceremony was held on the 17th of October 2019 at the seminar hall of International convention city, Bashundhara (ICCB), in the presence of the Chief guest, Mr. Md. Tazul Islam, MP, Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development & Cooperatives Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and special guest from Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Dr. Ahmad Kaikaus, Senior Secretary, Power Division, Ministry of Power, Energy & Mineral Resources along with Mr. Rezwan Ferdous Khan, General Manager, EMD, Max Infrastructure Limited. Also present from CEMS Global were Ms. Meherun N. Islam, President and Group Managing Director and Mr. Tanveer Qamrul Islam, Executive Director.
With more than 300 stalls and 267 companies from Bangladesh, India, China, Sweden, Germany, Italy, USA, Uzbekistan, UAE, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Finland and Turkey will participate in this international exhibition and will bring forth the latest and innovative concepts, equipment, technologies & services related to Infrastructure development. Bangladesh recorded the highest economic growth among a list of 26 countries in the last 10 years, according to The Spectator Index. Since 2009, the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) expanded 188 percent at the current prices. In the past decade, China’s economy grew 177 percent, India 117 percent, Indonesia 90 percent, Malaysia 78 percent, Australia 41 percent and Brazil 17 percent. The country’s GDP size was $102 billion in 2009. Last year, it stood at $274 billion on the back of steady economic growth, according to World Bank. The GDP size surpassed the $300-billion mark in June, as per government figures. These figures substantiate the development of Bangladesh and indicates the necessity of new infrastructure development in various industries. Many countries have expressed their interest to invest in Bangladesh and many at present many companies are even planning to start a production unit in Bangladesh. The infrastructure of a country is one of the major wheels needed to keep an economy moving towards further growth. At present the major infrastructure development projects are metro rail, an expressway with access control, the double-decker Padma Bridge (roadway and railway), a subway, BRT (bus rapid transit lines), an airport terminal, a tunnel in the Karnaphuli, and a nuclear power plant. Apart from these there will be more development of more factories, EPZs and Hi-Tech parks for the development of the country for which all the companies participating in the exhibition are required directly or indirectly.
On the sidelines of this exhibition there will be two seminars; A seminar on Industrial Rooftop Solar - CAPEX, OPEX model on the 17th October 2019 from 4pm to 7.00 PM and another seminar on Sustainable Management of Industrial Water and Wastewater: Investment and Operations on the 19th October 2019 from 10am to 6pm.
