CEMS-Global - Conference & Exhibition Management Services Ltd, will be hosting the “20th Textech Bangladesh International Expo 2019" along with two concurrent exhibitions titled the “16th Dhaka International Yarn & Fabric Show 2019-Summer Edition” and “38th Dye+Chem Bangladesh 2019 International Expo” from 4th – 7th September, 2019 at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Kuril, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It will be the Biggest 360° Supplier Hub of the Textile and Apparel Manufacturing Industry in Bangladesh where visitors will find the biggest display of international yarn, fabrics, trims, accessories, chemical, dyes, machinery and other related products and services. More than 1300 companies from China, India, Germany, UK, USA, Taiwan, Japan, Turkey, Italy, Sri Lanka among other countries will exhibit their products and services through 1500 booths, showcasing the latest developments.
In this regard, an inauguration ceremony was held on the 4th of September 2019 at the seminar hall of International convention city, Bashundhara (ICCB), in the presence of the Chief guest, Mr. Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, MP, Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Industries, Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh and special guests, Mr. Mohammed Belayet Hossain, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles and Jute, Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Mr. Arshad Jamal (Dipu), Vice President, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and Mr. Mansoor Ahmed, First Vice President, Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA). The ceremony was presided by Mr. S.S. Sarwar, Group CEO, CEMS Global and Ms. Meherun N. Islam, President and Group Managing Director, CEMS Global.

It is primarily estimated that local textile industries consume about 1.48 million metric ton chemicals per year. It is speculated that about 70 percent of the chemical demand is met by imports.
A symposium entitled ‘Green Chemistry and Sustainable Chemical Management for Bangladesh Textile Growth’ organized by CEMS Global in association with ESTex-BUET will be held on the 5th September 2019 from 2.30pm to 5.00pm. It will provide the platform for stakeholders to discuss the key elements of chemical management and safety based on national and international policy and rules, developing chemical safety and security culture, using eco-friendly chemicals and adopting cleaner production options.
